“Entropy" CRISTINA QUERRER February-March 2020 (Complete Installation. Click on image to enlarge.) North Fork Arts Projects is delighted to feature Cristina Querrer . She was born and raised in the Philippines, post-Vietnam War, during the Marcos regime, pre-Mount Pinatubo eruption, as a U.S. Air Force military child. She graduated high school from former Wagner High School, Clark Air Force Base, Philippines in 1985. Her works have appeared in various literary journals and anthologies. She has two books of poetry, By Astrolabes & Constellations and The Art of Exporting . She is a U.S. Army veteran, holds an MFA in Creative Writing, and is a writer, artist, and podcaster. "Kadilian (Coral Reef)"  JUAN ELANI TULAS December 2019 - January 2020 North Fork Arts Projects is pleased to share the art of Philippine-based artist Juan Elani Tulles. He first came to our attention with lovely colorful works that he crafts by upcycling styrofoam (styropor). We are delighted to welcome four of his small artworks to North Fork. As you can see in the above shot, we chose to install his works on the floor rather than hanging on the wall. We placed them on the floor to refer to the under-the-sea/underground location of corals which inspire these works. “Poetry Ekphrasis” JEAN VENGUA October 2019 North Fork Arts Projects is pleased to celebrate October as Filipino American History Month by presenting an exhibition of four new paintings by Jean Vengua. Jean’s exhibit is entitled “Poetry Ekphrasis” as each of her paintings is rooted in poems by four Filipino-Pilipinz poets: Nick Carbo, Eric Gamalinda, Barbara Jane Reyes, and Eileen R. Tabios.
